Atlanta, Georgia - August 2, 2006 –
FleetCor, a market leader in fleet card
processing services announced the addition of two former Citi Cards executives
to its management team today, with the appointments of John Hunter as Chief
Operations Officer, and John Jelinek as Chief Credit Officer.
"We are delighted to have been able to attract John Hunter and John Jelinek to
the company. I expect that they will make big-time contributions to the
company's next stage of development," said Ron Clarke, Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer, FleetCor.
John Hunter, formerly the Senior Vice-President of Citi Card's Oil Partner
Programs has twenty-five years of experience with one of the biggest issuers of
credit cards in the United States. In his career, he has also led the industry
in roles such as the President of Associates National Bank (Delaware) N.A.,
President of the United States Auto Club, and General Manager for the Oil
Partner Programs. In his new role as FleetCor's Chief Operations Officer, John
will assume the overall operational responsibility for the company across all
its divisions including Fuelman, FleetNet, FleetSource, CFN, Mannatec and
FleetCor's Private Label business.
"From my perspective, one of the biggest
opportunities that we have is to align all our business goals to ensure that we
have an operating platform to allow for our continued expansion," said John
Hunter.
John Jelinek, FleetCor's newly appointed Chief Credit Officer also has years of
experience in the industry, with a proven track record of success. As a former
Senior Vice-President at Citi Cards, Jelinek was responsible for the company's
relationships with some of the industry's biggest fleet card marketers,
including BP, Sunoco, and CITGO. Prior to that, Jelinek was the Chief Risk
Officer for CitiFinancial International and was with GE Capital for 19 years in
a variety of Risk and Operational positions for their credit card business.
"Both Hunter and Jelinek are set to hit the ground running particularly with
their highly relevant best-in-class practices," added Clarke. "They will be
very focused on our client service delivery and quality, as we aim to triple
our business over the next three years."
"The growth prospects for FleetCor and its clients are what lead me to this
company," said John Jelinek. "The fleet card business has changed dramatically
over the past couple of years, and as a result has created new opportunities
that FleetCor can capitalize on to drive profitable growth for our partners and
their fleet customers."
"Moving forward, our challenge will be to
support the growth trajectory that we are on, while maintaining an appropriate
risk-reward relationship throughout our receivable base," adds Jelinek.
